Tenko / Soho Disco Terms And Conditions

The following terms apply to Weddings, Parties, Corporate Functions, Events and Festivals.

For Club, Pub or Bar, DJ, Band, Agency and/ or Equipment bookings please see the section at the bottom of the page.

By making your deposit or balance payment you confirm that you accept, and agree to be bound by, these terms and conditions.

DO NOT PAY ANY DEPOSITS OR FINAL BALANCES IF YOU DISAGREE WITH ANY OF THE BELOW TERMS. PLEASE CONTACT SOHO DISCO DIRECTLY AND WE WILL ADDRESS ANY ISSUES. AFTER PAYMENT IS RECEIVED THE CLIENT AGREES TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS.

The final balance to be invoiced directly by the DJ and/or Entertainment Providers and Suppliers.

It is down to the client to make sure that information on the booking is accurate and complete. Any complications that arise due to incorrect information on the original booking will not result in Soho Disco being liable for for delay, non performance or incorrect performance.

Setup


Soho Disco and/or the booked act will bring the following for setup as standard unless otherwise directed: DJ booth, speakers, decks, disco lighting, Tablet or MacBook Pro as backup as well as cables and leads etc.

Soho Disco must be given an area 3m x 5m as a minimum to set up equipment.

Soho Disco must be given a hard and stable surface to set up equipment on. In a marquee or temporary structure this area must not be the same flooring as the dance floor as this may cause equipment to fall when the dance floor is in use. In this scenario a small stage is required to separate the equipment and the dance floor area or a separate floor area not affected by the dance floor.


Soho Disco will require clients to provide soft drinks and a meal/ snack as appropriate.

During a full day event or wedding the client must provide an afternoon and an evening meal as well as soft drinks. These meals can be the same as the guests meals. Please advise venues or caterers that supplier meals are required. If this is not provided then Soho Disco will invoice the client up to £20 per meal.

Payment

The total fee for the services are defined on the deposit invoice.

A non refundable deposit is due to secure the booking and the date.

The booking will not be confirmed until the deposit is paid.

By making your deposit or balance payment you confirm that you accept, and agree to be bound by, these terms and conditions.

If the client named on the invoice wishes to move the booking to a different date, then Soho Disco and other parties will endeavour to oblige, however if the new date is not a possibility for Soho Disco then the non refundable deposit will not be refunded. This must happen no less than 60 days before the event date.

If the client named on the invoice wishes to cancel the services, he/she/they must give Soho Disco at least 30 days' notice. Any cancellation after that point will result in full balance due. The Deposit will also not be refunded.

Cancellations must be confirmed in writing to Soho Disco via email, WhatsApp or Text Message.

Balance payments may be made via cash or bank transfer. Paypal payments will be subject to a surcharge, charged at cost.

Music
DJ Tenko will play songs chosen by customer and/or from a popular playlist.

DJ Tenko can take requests from the guests of the event, provided that the requested music is in DJ Tenko’s collection and/or that time permits. DJ Tenko will endeavour to procure music not in the collection if there is sufficient time and internet signal but this may not be possible once the event has begun.

Damages
The client named on the invoice agrees to take full responsibility for their guests at an event. This may also include financial responsibility if damage or theft occurs.

The client named on the invoice agrees that they and all guests to the event will treat DJ Tenko / Soho Disco and all employees there-of with professionalism and respect. Any abuse or ill feeling given to any of the above will result in DJ Tenko/ Soho Disco halting the event with immediate effect for a short period whilst the client is informed. Depending on the situation this may also result in DJ Tenko/ Soho Disco deciding to halt their involvement in the event with immediate effect. Any threats of violence by the client or guests may also result in Security Staff, Venue Staff or Police being called. If any of these situations occur there will be no refund or partial refund due back to the client.

The client named on the invoice agrees to pay for any damages to DJ Tenko’s / Soho Disco’s equipment caused by the negligence/ drunkenness or theft of/by any of the event guests.

If any equipment is damaged by the client or guests during the event then DJ Tenko will immediately halt the performance and carry out checks on said equipment. This may result in music stopping and event lighting being turned off for a short or prolonged amount of time so the equipment can be inspected.

In the rare situation that lasting damage is found then DJ Tenko/ Soho Disco reserves the right the permanently halt the performance and pack up all equipment. If this situation occurs there will be no refund or partial refund due back to the client.

Cancellation/Illness

In the unlikely event of illness or any other reason preventing DJ Tenko from honouring the contract and DJing at your event, a suitable/like-for-like replacement will be organised – either one of our partners or through an external booking agent. Any costs incurred will be covered by Soho Disco and any savings if applicable would be passed back to the client.

Club, Pub or Bar, DJ, Agency and/ or Equipment bookings

Any manager, appropriate person or venue whom requests/ books the services of Soho Disco, Tenko DJ or of any other rostered DJ, Musician or Equipment verbally or in writing will be bound to the terms and conditions below.

Cancellation Terms

Any booking that is to be cancelled or modified must give at least 14 days notice before the date of said booking. If not enough notice is given then the penalties due are listed below.

8 to 13 Days before the booking: if the booking is cancelled or modified to a point where the booking can no longer be accommodated by Soho Disco then 25% of the booking fee is due to Soho Disco.

7 to 12 days before the booking: if the booking is cancelled or modified to a point where the booking can no longer be accommodated by Soho Disco then 50% of the booking fee is due to Soho Disco.

3 to 7 days before the booking: if the booking is cancelled or modified to a point where it can no longer be accommodated by Soho Disco then 75% of the booking fee is due to Soho Disco.

48 hours or less before the booking: if the booking is cancelled or modified to a point where it can no longer be accommodated by Soho Disco then 100% of the booking fee is due to Soho Disco.

If a venue suffers closure or an inability to host an event due to unforeseen circumstances then the above terms may be alleviated at the discretion of Soho Disco.

If the booking relates to, but not limited to, any high demand events or periods such as Cheltenham Gold Cup or Race Weeks, Cheltenham Festival (Jazz, Art, Literature) or holiday period such as Christmas or New Years Eve then the following cancellation terms will come into use.

Any high demand booking cancelled with less than 28 days notice will result in 50% of the booking fee to be paid to Soho Disco.

Any high demand booking cancelled with less than 21 days notice will result in 100% of the booking fee to be paid to Soho Disco.

Agency Bookings - By paying a deposit or payment in full the venue, client or management agree to be bound by the below terms in full. A link to these terms are printed on every invoice from Soho Disco and sent directly to client.

Soho Disco acts as an agent for DJs, bands and performers that play on its behalf. All acts are contracted to Soho Disco and agree to a non compete policy in writing before their first performance.

Soho Disco will arrange for any cancellations from a performer to be replaced at no additional cost to the venue or client.

The venue staff, management or clients will not attempt to hire any performers who performer at their venue through the performer directly and not without the consent of Soho Disco as this will be a direct breach of the performers non compete policy and the terms of this agreement for the venue.

Soho Disco operate an absolute policy of engaging legal proceedings against performers and/ or venues if either policy is breached.

If a venue, management or client has to discuss any of the following (but not limited to): Payments, timings, future bookings, contract signing or negotiations then they are to contact Soho Disco in the first instance and not the performer.

Agency cancellations: Soho Disco but be notified in writing no less than 28 days before any cancellation unless there is a breach of acceptable behaviour by a performer, Soho Disco decide to terminate their employment or their performances have fallen below an expected level.

Soho Disco or it's performers will perform to their best ability at every event however Soho Disco does not accept liability or late cancellation for ‘Act of God’ occurrences such as loss of power, flooding, or any other reason that a venue may be forced to close.

Damages


The venue or manager of the venue agrees to take full responsibility for their guests at an event or within their venue. This may also include financial responsibility if damage or theft occurs.

The venue or manager of the venue agrees that they and all guests or customers to the event will treat DJ Tenko / Soho Disco and all employees there-of with professionalism and respect. Any abuse or ill feeling given to any of the above will result in DJ Tenko/ Soho Disco halting the event with immediate effect for a short period whilst the client is informed. Depending on the situation this may also result in DJ Tenko/ Soho Disco deciding to halt their involvement in the event with immediate effect. Any threats of violence by the client or guests may also result in Security Staff, Venue Staff or Police being called. If any of these situations occur there will be no refund or partial refund due back to the client.
